Sunday Services: 9am, 11am, 5pm
Patio Service

From Memorial Day to the last Sunday in September, we'll gather at 5pm on the back cafe patio at Calvary for...

A Summer of Immersing Our Life in God's Word (#patioparables)

While continuing through the same Simply Profound series that Pastor Shawn will be teaching in the morning services, we'll focus our hearts and our minds on what Jesus teaches us through his parables. Not only will we explore the parables of Jesus, we'll also hear stories from our own Calvary family of how they have encountered God in the midst of their everyday life. We're calling these stories Patio Parables. Additionally we'd like to invite you to share your stories throughout your week on Instagram or Facebook of how you've encountered God in everyday life while including #patioparables in your post.

Simply take a photo of your surroundings and include a relevant Scripture passage in either the description or by creating a "picture-quote" using a free app such as Overgram. Remember to include #patioparables in your description because we're going to do a special project using all the #patioparables pictures at the end of the summer and we want to include yours!

A Summer of Outdoor Worship

We'll worship Jesus, who in Colossians 1:15 is described as the Lord of all creation, while feeling the warmth of the sun on our skin, hearing the sound of a summer breeze rustling through the trees, and the sight of the expansive sky above. We'll sing songs outside, we'll hear from God's Word outside, and we'll pray outside...reminding us that no matter where we are, we can gather in worshiping our great Savior, Jesus Christ.

A Summer of Casual Fun

The key word for the summer patio service is casual. No matter where you are beforehand, come as you are in flip flops, shorts, t-shirt, (or even in formal wear if that's how you relax on a Sunday afternoon) to a relaxed, casual environment where all are welcome. Though seating will be provided, bring a lawn chair for yourself (or even an extra one or two for others!).

Though you can continue to park in the main parking lot and follow the signs to the back cafe patio, you can also choose to park in the shaded parking structure for the shortest walk to the patio.
