The Holy Spirit is the central figure of the Book of Acts and proves the truth of what Paul said in one of his letters that "The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power" (1 Cor. 4:20). Far more than just being the account of the beginnings of the early Church, this book shows the triumph of the Church in the face of bitter persecution, it teaches us how to speak to those who have not yet trusted Christ as their Savior, and it provides a guide for how we as the Body of Christ might fully walk in the Spirit.
