Community Outreach

The vision of this outreach ministry, SeniorServe, is to connect Calvary members with area seniors, a sometimes isolated and abandoned segment of society that otherwise might not hear or feel the love of Christ. It is a way for us, as Christians, to minister to those who may be poor in spirit and care for them. It is a ministry where the servers are as blessed as the served.

Our mission may be different depending on the needs which might be:

  • Light housework, vacuuming, laundry
  • Disposing of items no longer needed
  • Preparation of light meals
  • Transportation or misc. errands
  • Companionship and fellowship, reading the Bible, prayer and discussion

SeniorServe is also looking at visiting assisted living or other senior facilities to bring church to people who are immobile and might not hear the Word of God or fellowship with other Christians. It is not designed to replace any medical assistance or social services care. Our desire is to provide a helping hand so that seniors are comforted in knowing the compassion of Christ extends to them in a loving way.

To volunteer for SeniorServe, a few hours a week or a few hours a month, or if you know of a senior in need, please contact us.

Do you have some handyman skills?

The Handyman Ministry is an outreach into our community to help those that are elderly, disabled, low income, or house-bound. To show the love of Christ in a very practical way, we offer basic handyman services such as: fixing leaky faucets, electrical work, minor carpentry, painting, and yard work.
